Time’s up!  The winner of this giveaway is Erica, who left the very last comment. :)  Thanks for joining us for Bloggy Giveaways.  There will be another one in the fall.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year…Bloggy Giveaways!

If you’re not familiar, just clickety-click on the Bloggy Giveaways button and you can start from there, hopping from blog to blog, meeting new people, and signing up to win cool freebies. What’s not to love about that?

A warm welcome to all of you that are visiting me from the giveaway carnival! I hope you will check out some of my recent posts and get to know me a little more. In a nutshell, I am a mom to six kids, wife to one hunky firefighter, I own three online businesses, and I home educate five of my kids as well. I love my health and wellness business, which features my unique approach to healthy living, which is basically–just do what you can, when you can, and don’t’ stress out about the rest. I have lots of great products that make eating and living healthier easy, without costing a fortune, too!

The most popular products I sell are helping moms have more energy than ever! I am so excited about these products and wanted to mention them here, since I know all of us could use more energy. You can read about these products here. My favorite thing about these products, other than how well they work, is that they are extremely affordable–this isn’t one of those $75-a-month “miracle” supplements. The stuff I sell is for regular people with regular budgets. ‘Nuff said.

I also have two ebooks that I’ve written on the subject of healthier eating. You can check those out here. I also offer an online class where I coach you through taking little steps toward healthier eating.

This week I am giving away a fun sampler pack to one lucky winner. The pack will include:

2 bars of awesome handmade soap–you can even choose the types you want

a sample of Teeccino herbal coffee

a sample of Yerba Mate tea

samples of Sweet Leaf Stevia Plus

To enter the contest, simply leave a comment and tell me something about the challenges you face related to healthy living. Maybe it’s an actual health problem you are needing help with. Maybe it’s something making it difficult for you to eat healthier. Whatever it is–tell me about it!

US residents only. Sorry!
I have a bunch of other great giveaways going on this week. Check them out here:

The Baby Boutique Blog–we’re giving away aromatherapy sleep pillows to help your little ones conk out easier at night! AND “The No-Cry Parenting Guide” is available FREE to everybody!

Supermom’s No-Lice Advice
–I’ll send one lucky winner their very own bottle of my No-Lice Hair and Body Spray, to help keep the cooties away!

AND, please don’t miss the excellent giveaway that my friend Kim is doing. She has the coolest, craftiest stuff over there, unlike anything you’ve ever seen. It is simply a MUST VISIT spot. Clickety-click! Be sure to visit her Etsy store as well. You’ll love it!

(**Red Alert! If you go to the top of the main page of my blog starting early Wednesday morning, you can read about an amazing sale on a collection of resources that you will love. It’s over $100 worth of stuff for just $5.97. Wowza!)

May Canadians enter?

My biggest obstacle to healthy living is lack of time. I think I do fairly well in the summer, but during the university year I just can’t seem to keep up.

Comment by Nicole (ikkinlala) 07.29.08 @ 3:14 pm

I’d love to win this! I have trouble eating enough veggies and fruit. :(

Comment by Natalie 07.29.08 @ 3:30 pm

My biggest obstacle to healthy living is my sweet tooth. I just love cookies and cakes!

Comment by Carol 07.29.08 @ 3:46 pm

My downfall is too little time for myself.
I feel like I am always in a hurry to get to work, get home, get to here, there, pickup this, drop off that…..Your gift pack sounds like a treat.

Comment by Dixie 07.29.08 @ 4:25 pm

I’m with Carol that said her sweet tooth. And organic produce is more expensive!

Comment by Julie 07.29.08 @ 4:26 pm

I would love to win this! I struggle with being healthy during pregnancy and nursing and since I am perpetually doing one or the other or both I really need to figure something out!!!

Comment by Charlsie Swadley 07.29.08 @ 4:27 pm

i struggle getting my oldest to eat a full meal.

Comment by tiffany lane 07.29.08 @ 5:11 pm

My challenge is all the stress I’m under. Nine months out of the year, I’m at class at 7 in the morning and work at night, which makes it hard to get enough sleep.

Comment by Han5nah T. 07.29.08 @ 5:40 pm

I would love this sampler pack! We try to eat and buy all natural/organic and healthy, but the hardest thing is finding the money to do so! So you can’t beat FREE! thanks.

I’ve been having trouble with Vitamin D deficiency. My body doesn’t absorb it very well.

Comment by Paula H 07.29.08 @ 6:27 pm

the biggest challenge i find is that i have a very limited budget and healthful foods are so expensive while junk isn’t!!

Comment by tami lewis 07.29.08 @ 6:33 pm

Resisting sugar treats is my challenge.

Comment by CrystalGB 07.29.08 @ 6:47 pm

I’m pregnant with my 4th and it’s super important to me that I follow my midwives’ nutritional advice, but it can be difficult because I’ve been craving fast food like crazy. I was also addicted to coffee before I got pregnant and I’ve cut it out, but oh man do I miss Starbucks.

Comment by Reiza 07.29.08 @ 6:48 pm

Thanks for having a giveaway! I struggle with eating enough vegetables. It seems like a lot to have two different veggies at dinner, and since I normally have a sandwich for lunch, I wouldn’t like eating cooked veggies with that…and my son has a hard time eating raw veggies.

Comment by Sonya 07.29.08 @ 8:43 pm

The problem I have with trying to eat healthier..is my husband (sorry honey it is true :sigh:)..he doesn’t like anything healthy and he always brings the kids treats and stuff.

Comment by Amity 07.29.08 @ 9:24 pm

I’d have to say it’s discipline. When I’m stressed out all I want to do is pop some chocolate. And by stressed out, I mean, bored, anxious, hungry, whatever!

Comment by Kristine 07.29.08 @ 11:08 pm

I have a problem with being tired a lot. i know I am a mother of 3 but it seems that I just don’t have energy.

Comment by LadySnow 07.29.08 @ 11:22 pm

I’d love to win that prize!

My biggest challenge with living green is using paper towels. I have a rag bucket but I still can’t help buying and using paper towels, as they are so easy to deal with. Oh, and I have a problem with overeating at meals too! (Those two things are so randomly funny together)

Comment by Kathleen W. 07.30.08 @ 1:01 am

We are trying to change everything over piece by piece… taking a little time

Comment by Megan 07.30.08 @ 1:02 am

My biggest obstacle would be my food allergies.

Comment by Ricki 07.30.08 @ 2:12 am

I do pretty well at eating , but I interested in this coffee and of course, I could use more tips, and advice anytime!!!
and who doesnt need soap?
Oh, my one challenge? getting the best man of my life to eat veggies, he thinks dinner is meat, and another serving of meat.

Comment by Karissa 07.30.08 @ 3:21 am

i have a sweet tooth and i get cravings at night mostly. I try to drink a lot of water to curb it but it doesnt work much. I have to nibble something.

Great giveaway! I hope i’m the lucky winner :)

Comment by reeva 07.30.08 @ 3:37 am

My biggest challenge is exercising daily. I just have the toughest time making myself do it though I know I need to.

Great giveaway.

I have been eating a lot of junk food because when the baby’s whining and I’m hungry, it’s just easier to grab some chips and plunk down in the recliner to breastfeed her! I need to start preparing healthier things!

Comment by Jenny 07.30.08 @ 3:47 am

My challenges aren’t unique to me. Four kids. Too much housework and too little perceived time for exercise. Not to mention I’m up late doing this carnival!

Comment by Debbie 07.30.08 @ 4:37 am

I struggle with losing weight. I gave up soda, lost all interest in sweets and even salty snacks, ate healthy and LESS, drank lots of water and increased my exercise. I gained weight. ANd I know it wasn’t muscle! I didn’t exercise enough for that.
I decided if I was going to gain weight, I was going to enjoy it and went back to my chips.

Comment by qtpies7 07.30.08 @ 5:40 am

suagr is my weakness. my hubby jokes that my diet consists soley of broccoli and chocolate!

Comment by Mary Jenkins 07.30.08 @ 6:51 am

My biggest stumbling block has been my addiction to Coke and chocolate. I have tried many times to cut it from my diet, but all it takes is one taste again, and I am back to drinking the stuff again.

Comment by Michelle 07.30.08 @ 9:55 am

I’d love the pack. My biggest stumbling block is the budget. I’d love to buy more organic and whole foods but it’s so expensive!

Comment by GrnMtnGirl 07.30.08 @ 11:44 am

My family is my stumbling block. They don’t share my views on living and eating healthy.

Comment by Betsy 07.30.08 @ 1:23 pm

My biggest obstacle is lack of inspiration with veggies.

Comment by Shannon 07.30.08 @ 1:39 pm

Right now I am trying to find new products that will be healthy and still friendly to my family’s eczema because i’m getting away from a great company that’s only downfall is a commitment to buy a minimum purchase every month. I’ve been with them for 5+ years and am scared to try new things for fear they will be a huge waste of money and have skin problems to treat as well. thanks for offering freebies to try! keep up the good work!

Comment by Krista 07.30.08 @ 1:44 pm

Ooo, I just love giveaways! I have migraines and have struggled with depression. My biggest trouble, I think, is complete lack of energy, and thus making things from scratch, and keeping fresh fruits around for snacks, is difficult for me. My husband is also a meat-and-potatoes man, but he’s been working on being more healthy, too! (Praise God for THAT!)

Comment by ChristyLube 07.30.08 @ 1:54 pm

I’m so overwhelmed with 5 kiddos, it’s hard to try to eat healthy.

Comment by Sara M 07.30.08 @ 2:06 pm

The biggest issue for me is that I am not a sleeper - constantly waking up through the night which leaves me exhausted with no energy to do all the fun things with my 3 precious little ones.

Comment by Jayne 07.30.08 @ 2:08 pm

Oooh, ooh, pick me! Pick me! (Arm stretched REALLY high) I’m working toward knocking off 80 lbs of extra weight while feeding three kids and a hubby who LOVES his double cheeseburgers and chips. My biggest obstacles though are time, money, cooking with kiddos underfoot, and a lifelong habit of self-medicating with sweets. HELP!

Thanks!
Jennifer

Comment by Jennifer 07.30.08 @ 2:08 pm

I would say lack of planning is my biggest problem. If I packed a healthy lunch rather than stopping for pizza it would help substantially. I am pretty good other than that but I grew up on bagged lunches as a kid and after a while they weren’t all that appetizing…so I have a bit of a mental block when it comes to packing lunches.

I am enjoying the online class. I have a hard time implementing these things mainly because my daughter is anorexic and mealtimes are already extremely stressful. She wants to eat healthy but right now she needs to get up to a healthy weight and that means eating more calories. The rest of the family, 5 boys and a husband all need to cut back.

Comment by Lora Hall 07.30.08 @ 2:23 pm

i love this giveaway! i hope i win. one problem i constantly have is eating after dinner. those late night snacks overpower me!

Comment by Allie - The Pink Potpourri 07.30.08 @ 2:30 pm

The biggest problem that I have is dealing with all the different food allergies in my home. From Gluten to peanuts and nuts, eggs, milk, and more. We genneraly eat very healthy but it just gets tiresome after a while.

Comment by Alicia 07.30.08 @ 2:42 pm

The ever popular answer-TIME. Also a nice sweet tooth!

Comment by Tina 07.30.08 @ 2:54 pm

i’ve had disordered eating habits for 12 years. my 31 year old body has not aged kindly because of this. i’m in the process of learning how to treat it right by feeding it.

Comment by she 07.30.08 @ 2:55 pm

i think the biggest challenge i face is the combination of lack of time/energy/money. My meals need to be cheap, easy and quick. Healthy tends to take a back seat :-(

Comment by Rebecca 07.30.08 @ 3:03 pm

My biggest obstacle is eating healthy.

I get a cist on my wrist whenever I’m pregnant. It goes away after birth, but it causes me pain while it’s there.

Comment by Cmerie 07.30.08 @ 5:15 pm

My biggest problem is lack of sleep! My kids ages are 21, 11, 6, 4, 2 and 7 months. I am usually up atleast 6 times at night, my youngest son goes to sleep at 11pm and my 6 yr old wakes up at 7am. I never have enough energy! I would love some advice!

Comment by Angie 07.30.08 @ 6:09 pm

What a great package! My concerns are with my children. I have two with eczema, one with very dry hair that falls out easily, two with dairy sensitivities, and one that has inflammation issues that make him very achy and sore. I’m curious to try the homemade soaps on my sensitive skin kiddos.

Comment by Jenn 07.30.08 @ 6:24 pm

The biggest problem I have for eating healthy is lack of time. I just don’t have the time to make a nice salad or something else healthy and sit down to eat it. I’m usually just grabbing something out of the pantry and throwin’ it down because I’m so hungry I’m shaking!

Comment by Kristenkj 07.30.08 @ 6:40 pm

My biggest challenge is time and money! So, thanks for the giveaways!

Comment by Sharon 07.30.08 @ 6:41 pm

My biggest challenge is also time. I can throw the meat in the oven or crock pot … but often skip the veggies.

Comment by Danielle 07.30.08 @ 7:52 pm

A neat giveaway! I have problems with a lack of energy and fuzzy thinking. This results in eating a lot of unhealthy fast food for me and my family.

Comment by Jacqueline 07.30.08 @ 7:52 pm

Comment by Kam A 07.30.08 @ 8:15 pm

Right now I’m in my third trimester and my biggest challenge is finding a good source of extra iron that doesn’t taste bad. I could also use more calcium and potassium.

Comment by Memarie Lane 07.30.08 @ 8:21 pm

I don’t eat as much produce as I’d like. I’m looking to join a CSA if I can find one, but I’ll need to save up some money.

Comment by Carrie 07.30.08 @ 9:45 pm

i love home made soap! our biggest challenge is that my son has a rare genetic skin condition-steatocystoma multiplex. he is on some harsh meds and they make his skin very dry. we’d love to try the soap!

I have arthritis in my knees..and it slows me down.

Thanks

Comment by Charity 07.30.08 @ 11:13 pm

I have a problem eating on a schedule. I normally lose track of time so the next thing I know I’m starving and feeling light headed from lack of calories so I go grab the first thing available. I’ve tried planning ahead and bring things into the office with me… But nothing beat that fast food hamburger. ugh.

Comment by Cristina 07.31.08 @ 12:18 am

Comment by mishmish 07.31.08 @ 4:09 am

I have severe anemia. So much so I have to get IV iron infusions weekly for a couple of months each year. I also have to get weekly B-12 shots. So finding ways of getting more Iron and B-12 into my diet is a challenge. I don’t like liver and I’m not big on red meats. But I do my best.

Thanks for the great giveaway.

Comment by Jeanine 08.01.08 @ 1:37 am

My challenge is I like to eat LOL. Some folks are fine to skip a meal, eat a salad for a meal etc. I get hungry and truly enjoy many foods.

I’m very calorie conscious and very careful on what I eat. I try to not leave myself hungry.

I also work out at least 6 times a week.

My challenge is that the healthy fresh fruit and vegetables are so expensive. For example $4.99 for a head of fresh cauliflower.
The high prices make it harder to eat healthy.

Convenience is my biggest challenge. Yes, I’m spoiled. It seems we are so busy and healthy eating takes planning. Most weeks I do fine, but there is at least 1 week per month where I totally crap out and we find ourselves in the McDonald’s drive-thru more than once! Ack!
