Why are you offering this class?
Good question!
One, I think I have a perspective and collection of ideas that everyone can benefit from, but there isn’t anything like it around that I’ve seen. Frankly, you need me!
Also, I have found that people have the greatest success when they have someone teaching and coaching them as they work toward their goals. I have had local people ask me to give them private coaching sessions in their homes, and those have been wonderful for being able to share lots of ideas and letting people Taste and Try the many foods I recommend. However, I have six young children, I homeschool, and my husband likes to see me too :), so I really don’t have much time to go to individual homes to teach people how they can eat healthier. I believe that this class is going to be a huge help to people that need to change how they eat and need a coach to help.
Do I have to be in the USA to take your class?
No! That’s one of the great things about internet-based classes. You can access the class lessons from anywhere in the world. As long as you can read and respond in English, this class will work for you.
What time do I have to be available for this class?
Anytime that works for you! Each class will come to you in an email. You can read through your lesson at any time that’s convenient for you. You can even do several lessons in one day and then not do any for several days. Whatever works for you!
Do I have to buy any books or supplies for this class?
You do not need to purchase any books for this class, although sometimes I will mention or recommend books that you can choose to get from the library or purchase.
As far as supplies go, the only items you’ll need are some food ingredients for the Taste and Try assignments. I try to make the majority of my suggestions things that most people can make work with just a regular grocery store. (I know that many of us don’t have health food stores nearby, and frankly, they can be kind of overwhelming.) There are some food items that I recommend that are not going to be found in most grocery stores. My goal is to make those available through Supermom’s Health and Wellness. Obviously, some items (such as frozen items, baked goods, produce, meats) aren’t things I can ship to you through the mail, so it’ll be up to you to track down resources for these items in your own area. (although I will have ideas to help you start your search)
I recommend that you plan to spend about $25 per month on items from Supermom’s Health and Wellness (or your local health food store, if that works better for you). This amount will vary depending on your personal goals, so it’s not written in stone. I do provide a 10% discount on all purchases made by current students.
